The HPL402 is Hoyer's most popular power patient lift — and for good reason. Simple to operate, reliable in daily use, and engineered for both home care and facility environments. The adjustable U-base opens to navigate around chairs, toilets, and furniture, then closes for compact storage. The reverse-mounted actuator keeps the mechanical components clear of the patient's legs during transfers for added comfort and safety.

Adjustable U-Base

The U-base design is ideal for seating and toileting transfers — the open U-shape allows the lift to straddle a toilet or wheelchair without obstruction. The base adjusts from approximately 24" (closed) to 39" (open) to maneuver around furniture and tight spaces. Base adjustment is hand-operated.

Emergency Manual Down-Release

In the event of battery failure or power issue, the manual down-release lever allows caregivers to safely lower the patient without electric power — an important safety feature for daily reliability.

Sling Compatibility

The HPL402 is compatible with both 4-point and 6-point Hoyer slings — the most widely available patient lift sling standard. Slings are sold separately.

Delivery Information

Ships in multiple cartons, light assembly required. Base and mast/boom are pre-assembled. Someone must be capable of placing the mast/boom section into the base assembly.
