The MOXI BariSelect is a hospital-grade low air loss mattress replacement system engineered for the unique needs of bariatric patients. Where standard mattresses fall short in width, depth, and weight capacity, the BariSelect delivers — with extended widths up to 54", an 10" profile that's 2" deeper than standard systems, and a 1,000 lb weight capacity that accommodates virtually any patient size.

Unlike basic air mattresses that simply inflate and sit static, the BariSelect uses true low air loss technology — a constant, controlled flow of air escapes through micro-perforations in the mattress surface, circulating under a vapor-permeable cover to continuously wick away moisture and heat. This active microclimate management is critical for bariatric patients who are at elevated risk for skin breakdown due to increased surface contact, heat retention, and moisture accumulation.

How True Low Air Loss Works

Air escapes continuously through tiny holes in the top surface of the mattress and circulates under the cover. This keeps the skin surface cool and dry around the clock — not just when the pump is adjusting pressure. The result is a consistently managed microclimate that reduces the conditions that lead to pressure ulcer development.
