The SWC-SLING is a self-propelling shower wheelchair — the key difference from a standard shower commode chair is the 24" rear wheels with hand rims and brake, which allow the patient to independently propel themselves in the shower, bathroom, or around a pool area. The corrosion-proof PVC frame and stainless steel components make it fully safe for wet environments.

Self-Propelling vs Attendant-Propelled

Most shower commode chairs rely on an attendant to push them — the SWC-SLING gives patients with sufficient upper body strength the ability to move independently. The 24" rear wheels with hand rims function just like a standard wheelchair, and the rear brake locks the chair securely in place during bathing or transfers.

Left Side Swing-Away Arm

The left arm swings all the way around to the opposite back cane — completely clearing the transfer zone for easy lateral transfers from bed, regular wheelchair, or other surfaces. Fixed right arm provides stability during transfers.
